Splitty

Splitty compared with other expense splitting apps

Short answer: most expense splitting apps track who owes whom between pairs of people, in one or two languages. Splitty is built for a group that pools money into a shared kitty first, reads more than one language (52, including Arabic, Farsi, Urdu and Hebrew with right-to-left layout), and wants the trip plan in the same place as the money. If your group does not need any of that, one of the apps below may suit it better, and each page says when.

Splitty at splitty.om is published by BHD Group (Bin Haider Darwish L.L.C.) in Muscat, Oman. It is not the receipt app "splitty: Split Bills & Tip" from splittyapp.com. Each comparison below uses only the other app's own website, help center, terms and store listings. Summary lines on this page were checked against those pages on 20 October 2026 or on the date each page shows.

How to choose

  • Two or three friends, one language, a running tab: any of these apps works.
  • You want open source or to host it yourself: Spliit.
  • Nobody wants to install anything: Kittysplit, Spliit and Splitty all work in a browser. A Splitty guest joins from the invite link with no account.
  • The group pays into a pot first: Splitty records contributions into the kitty separately from spending out of it.
  • The group reads Arabic, Urdu, Farsi, Hindi or Malayalam: Splitty lets each member read the same trip in their own language.
  • Several currencies with 3-decimal money (OMR, BHD, KWD, JOD): Splitty stores each amount in its currency's exact minor units and freezes the rate on each expense.

What Splitty does not do

Splitty does not move or hold money. It records who paid, who owes and who has settled. The payment happens wherever the group already banks.
