Why groups pick Splitty

Splitty is a group expense app for the money people share: a trip, a flat, a family fund, a night out. One group holds one running record. Everyone adds what they paid, everyone sees the same balances at the same time, and nobody has to keep a private note on their phone or chase a screenshot in a chat thread three weeks later.

Most groups do not share one currency or one language. Splitty is built for that. It ships in 52 languages, including Arabic, Urdu, Malayalam, Bengali, Tagalog, Hindi and Farsi, and each person reads the same trip in their own language on the same screen. Amounts can be entered in whatever currency they were actually spent in, with the rate stored on the trip so a later edit does not silently rewrite history.

Splitty is developed and hosted in Muscat, Oman by BHD Group (Bin Haider Darwish L.L.C.). Its free iPhone and iPad app, Splitty: Split Bills & Trips (Apple ID 6790855314), requires iOS 16.4 or later. Its official free Android app on Google Play uses package om.splitty.app. Bin Haider Darwish L.L.C. publishes both apps, and the installable web app at splitty.om remains available on Android and desktop.

Can a group split expenses in more than one currency?

Yes. Each expense is entered in the currency it was actually paid in, and the trip holds the rate used to convert it, so balances stay consistent even after an expense is edited later.

Do the people I am splitting with need to install anything?

No. A trip invite is a link that opens in any browser, and someone can join as a guest without creating an account. Splitty can also be installed to a phone home screen from the browser, where it opens offline.

How does settling up work?

The simplified view aims for one payment each rather than one payment per pair of people, and the detailed view shows every individual debt. Splitty records who has paid whom; it does not move money and is not a payment provider.

Is Splitty on the App Store or Google Play?

Yes. Splitty: Split Bills & Trips is available free on the App Store (Apple ID 6790855314, requires iOS 16.4 or later) and Google Play (official Android package om.splitty.app). Bin Haider Darwish L.L.C. publishes both apps. The installable web app at splitty.om also remains available on Android and desktop.

Who makes Splitty?

BHD Group (Bin Haider Darwish L.L.C.), a company in Muscat, Oman. Splitty is built and hosted by the group.

How is Splitty different from Splitwise?

Splitty ships in 52 languages with full right-to-left support, treats a pooled kitty as a first-class case rather than only pairwise debts, and carries the trip itself (itinerary, receipts, a Wallet pass) alongside the money.

Is splitty.om the same as other apps called Splitty?

No. Splitty at splitty.om is built and published by BHD Group (Bin Haider Darwish L.L.C.) in Muscat, Oman. Other apps and websites share the name and are unrelated to this one, with no shared company, account or data.
