Splitser is an app and website to split, settle and pay group expenses, and members can pay each other inside it by iDEAL, Wero or Bancontact. Splitty was built for a different group: people who do not share one language, who pool money into a kitty before they spend it, and who want the trip itself, the flights, the stays and the receipts, in the same place as the balances. Splitser is available in the Netherlands and Flanders under the name WieBetaaltWat.

FeatureSplittySplitser
Languages 52, including Arabic, Farsi, Urdu and Hebrew with full right-to-left layout. Each member of a trip can read it in a different language. The US App Store listing names 28 languages, including Arabic, so a right-to-left language is on the list. Farsi, Urdu and Hebrew are not on the list. The website menu offers 5 languages (English, German, French, Spanish, Italian), with Dutch on WieBetaaltWat, and the support FAQ says the app is available in Dutch, English, German, Spanish or Italian.
Shared kitty First-class: contributions into a pool and expenses out of it are tracked separately, so a pooled fund and a spend-as-you-go trip both work. The store listings describe income, "if money has been received (e.g. remaining money pots, received deposits)", and a group payment request where everyone sees who has to pay what. A separate pooled-fund feature was not identified in the official materials checked on 20 October 2026.
Multi-currency Any currency per expense, with the rate stored on the trip so later edits do not rewrite history. A free trip uses up to 2 currencies, the base included. Pro removes that limit. Yes. More than 150 currencies, mixed on one list, with real-time exchange rates (store listings, homepage, Version 4 page). The support FAQ says an amount converts to the list currency at the rate at the time of entry.
Receipts Photograph a receipt onto any expense. Yes. Add an image to an expense, for example the receipt, and view all images in a photo library (store listings, support FAQ).
Trip itinerary Flights, stays and a day-by-day plan live alongside the money. Not identified in the official materials checked on 20 October 2026.
Apple Wallet pass A trip pass that updates on the lock screen as the balance moves. Not identified in the official materials checked on 20 October 2026.

Invites go by WhatsApp, Messenger, SMS or email, and the support FAQ says anyone who clicks the list link can be a participant. Members can also add "anonymous" participants who do not have the app.
Install and offline Free on the App Store for iPhone and iPad and on Google Play for Android. The installable web app also works on Android and desktop and opens offline. iOS (iPhone and iPad, iOS 15.5 or later), Android, and the web at app.splitser.com. When Splitser is the better answer

If the group wants to pay inside the app, Splitser settles debts directly by iDEAL, Wero or Bancontact, and its Version 4 page also names PayPal. It sends payment requests and reminders and keeps a payments history. It is built for large groups: the Splitwise switch page lists unlimited lists and up to 150 members per list for free. When a list is settled, Splitser creates a settlement PDF and keeps a history of past settlements. It has recurring expenses, reminders for upcoming expenses, search filters, category insights, offline entry and dark mode, and it can import from a Splitwise CSV export. Arabic is on its App Store language list, as it is in Splitty.

When Splitty is the better answer

If some of the group will not make an account, Splitty lets a guest join from an invite link in any browser. Splitser's terms say you need an account before you can use it. If some of the group reads Farsi, Urdu or Hebrew, Splitty has those languages with right-to-left layout, and each member can read the same trip in a different language. If money goes into a pool first, a trip fund, a household kitty or a family contribution, Splitty records contributions and spending as separate things. If the trip has flights, stays and a day plan, they sit on the same trip as the money, with a Wallet pass on the lock screen. And for the same people again and again, a circle keeps a running balance for lunches, nights out and a shared home, with no trip dates.

What Splitty does not do

Splitty does not move money. It records who paid, who owes and who has settled. The payment itself happens wherever the group already banks. Splitty is not a payment provider and holds no funds. Splitser is different here: members can pay each other in the app, and its support FAQ says each payment transaction carries a service fee of €0.35.
